Omor town, in Ayamelum local government area of Anambra state – Nigeria, is on the shores of the Omambala River. It is made up of 4 quarters of Orenja, Akanator, Aturia and Amikwe. Like the hanging garden of Babylon, Omor is home to numerous tourist attractions. One of the most visible tourist sites in the land is the Owushi natural waterfall which nature situates in different strategic places in the town. The water which is God’s spring continually gushes out from the hidden treasure of the mother earth’s mouth ceaselessly. Many decades ago before the advent of water borehole, Owushi natural waterfall provides the entire Omor people with enough water such that even the neighbouring communities in Ayamelum come to fetch from the nature’s amazing pots in Omor Kingdom. Spotless as it were and has continued to be, Owushi natural waterfall is like the proverbial biblical water which our Lord Jesus Christ once said that anyone who tastes would never feel thirsty again. Like Oliver Twist, a person who tasted water from Owushi would like some more due to its tasteless, colourless, odourless but thirst satisfying features with which nature garnished the heavenly flow of waters in Omor town. The Owushi waterfall is culturally non-discriminatory, and so, it is at the disposal of both men and women, old and the young. In fact, it is often described as the nature’s aid to the great Kingdom. The Owushi natural waterfall is decorated by nature with many greenish lively flowers, flanked by well nurtured trees and grasses with a tin long road passing through a giant mountain into the spring. Like Father Christmas, Owushi waterfall spreads her water to all farmers within the axis known as “Idoko” and create special ambience for farmers to engage in both raining and dry season farming.
