Omor being a large community and with the desire to have someone who understands the need of the Omor indigenes, the community chose His Royal Highness Igwe Oranu Chris Chidume, Eze Ana-Ukwu, Eze Igulube of Omor, as their traditional Ruler.

In the words of the monarch "I will look at the needs of our people and approach it pragmatically with a view of bringing measurable results in a shortest possible time" In keeping to his words, just within few weeks after his coronation, the Igwe of Omor gave close to twenty motorcycle to select beneficiaries from the four villages that make up the community viz Akanator, Aturia, Amikwe and Orenja.
